This four day course on Method Validation and Uncertainty of Measurement, running between 27-30 July 2009, was organised by ARSO.
This course aimed to help participants understand the two concepts of Method Validation and Uncertainty of Measurement in order to apply it in making their laboratories conform to the requirements of ISO 17025.

Method Validation is the process that provides evidence that a given analytical method, when correctly applied, produces results that are fit for purpose. Uncertainty of Measurement on the other hand, is the estimated amount by which the measured quantity may depart from the true value.
