ARSO and TMA Officials met at the ARSO Central Secretariat to continue engaging on the opportunities for the Standards/Regulatory Harmonisation, Trade facilitation, Conformity Assessment (Eco Mark Africa) – with a focus also including Women, Youth, SMEs; Capacity Building, Training and Awareness creation and Policy and regulations for Trade facilitation in the context of the AfCFTA TBT Annex 6 and SPS Annex 7, with a focus on the implementation of the TMA Canadian Programme/Project – Abidjan-Lagos Trade Corridor covering Benin, Togo, Cote D’Ivoire ad Nigeria – standards harmonisation; TMA-Mastercard Foundation – East Africa fisheries (Value Chain) programme – Covering Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia and the TMA -Canada Programme/Project – West Africa (ECOWAS – Ghana, Nigeria) standardisation programme.
