Scope: To develop and maintain standards and technical guides pertaining to the design, construction, performance testing, calibration, field response testing and safety considerations for measuring instruments and systems including the following areas:

  • Electricity, magnetism, and electromagnetic metrology
  • Mechanics, acoustics and dimensional metrology
  • Thermodynamics, photometry, optics and photonics
  • Dosimetry, radiometry and non-destructive measurements
